Subordinated capital investment

One way to get a residence permit in Latvia is by making a subordinated investment.
Subordinated contribution is the customer’s investment in bank for at least five years, with a condition that it cannot be removed sooner.
To apply for a residence permit a foreigner must obtain a document confirming that the he has made financial investments in a Latvian Bank of credit of at least LVL 200 000 (EUR 284 574, 36) in the form of subordinated deposit, with a condition that the deposit agreement may not be terminated before the deposit repay date.
